What is the J.V.Rao Group and what does it do?

Dr J.V. Rao Group is an organisation dedicated to exposing hidden talent through Talent Search Examinations. These exams are conducted on a yearly basis, and, once the results come out, an awards function is held at the Ravindra Bharathi auditorium. The main motto of conducting these examinations is to develop the competitiveness among the students at their younger age and recognise their talent by providing cash prizes, merit certificates and momentoes for Sate Level and District Level rankers.

Eligibility

The Talent Search Examination will be conducted for the classes as mentioned below :

1 : Students of Class X
2 : Students of Class IX
3 : Students of Class VIII
4 : Students of Class VII
5 : Students of Class VI

Awards

(i) State level I, II and III rankers of each class will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2000, 1500, 1000 respectively along with a certificate of merit and Momento.

(ii) The first five rankers of each district will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 500 and a certificate of merit.

(iii) Merit certificates will be issued to all students who secured more than 60% of marks in the examination.

(iv) Merit certificates and cash prizes will be sent by post within three months of conducting the examination for all the rank holders.

Mode of examination

The examination will consist of 100 questions covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for X, IX and VIII classes. Questions for VII and VI classes cover Mathematics and General Science. The syllabus for the examination will be prescribed by Andhra Pradesh State Goverment for the respective classes. For V class students, the question paper will be similar to Navodaya Entrance Pattern.

Note: Question papers of earlier examinations are available at the rate of Rs. 10 per copy which can be obtained by post or from our office.

Medium of examination : English & Telugu

Examination Centres : All District Head Quarters, important taluqs and mandals will be considered for conducting the examination. If more than 75 candidates are appearing from any one place/school from rural areas, a separate examination centre can be alotted.

Examination Fee : Rs. 30 for all irrespective of their classes.
Note : A crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of Wesley Educational Society payable at Hyderabad should be sent along with the application form. Money orders or postal orders will not be accepted.

In case a group of students are appearing for the examination from one school/place, a demand draft stating the total sum can be sent.
